Event Manager, Lausanne - Switzerland

  • Lead global event team in collaboration with the VP of Marketing to establish an impactful 12 month rolling calendar of events (congress, workshop, webinar and internal events) that meet the demands of the company’s expansive growth strategy
  • Manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected event challenges with tact and professionalism
  • Work with internal scientific communication specialist team to agree on event themes to ensure alignment of key messages
  • Provide on-going events and campaign effectiveness reports, and make recommendations to drive continuous improvement, achieve revenue targets and optimize budget spend
  • Create executive level communications to update and inform key internal partners of event planning progress, onsite details, and post-event key learnings
  • Act as main point-of-contact for all outside vendors and agencies, effectively communicating our specific needs for each event and ensuring that SOPHiA GENETICS is at top-of-mind for all sponsorship opportunities 
  • Work quickly and accurately even under very thigh deadlines, prioritizing and managing requests from global internal stakeholders 
  • Ensure events compliance with all corporate and government policies
  • Work with the sales operations team to optimize lead flow, database use and growth, metrics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing social and digital teams to design integrated top of funnel lead acquisition campaign (100%)

Required Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years corporate event planning experience including managing budget, sourcing, contracting, registration, housing, ground transportation, audio/visual, reporting
  • University/College Degree in Marketing, Life Science or related field 
  • Knowledge of Life Science scientific communication is strongly desired
  • Experience in technology, business and social media
  • Mix of in-house and agency experience
  • Must have demonstrated effective collaboration in a matrix or highly cross-functional business
